Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt

Best-Selling Author & Philanthropist

About

From a young age, Katherine Schwarzenegger Pratt wasted no time embracing her identity and embarking on her own journey toward a passionate and fulfilling career—in her case as a best-selling author, lifestyle blogger, animal advocate and ASPCA ambassador. When she was only a sophomore in college, Schwarzenegger entered the fraught national conversation surrounding women’s struggles with body image, self esteem, and confidence with the release of her book Rock What You’ve Got: Secrets to Loving Your Inner and Outer Beauty from Someone Who's Been There and Back. In it, Schwarzenegger Pratt documents her own challenges with body image and helpful tools she used to overcome challenging times. Her personal experience spurred her to write the book in the hopes of inspiring young women everywhere to be confident in who they are and know they are not alone no matter how much they may doubt themselves. As a result of the book’s popularity, Katherine toured the country spreading awareness about body image issues among young women and has since partnered with both the Girl Scouts of America and TJMaxx.

Since then, Schwarzenegger Pratt has gone on to author three more books. I Just Graduated…Now What? Honest Answers From Those Who Have Been There, offering advice to recent college graduates through a series of interviews with well-known and successful people about their own personal experience after college and what advice they would give to those starting their next chapter. Her third book, Maverick and Me, teaches children about the importance of animal rescue. Her latest book, The Gift of Forgiveness: Inspiring Stories from Those Who Have Overcome the Unforgiveable, is a blend of personal insights, powerful quotations, and hard-won wisdom for those seeking a way to live with greater acceptance, grace, and peace. Based on more than twenty in-depth interviews and stories as well as personal reflections from Schwarzenegger Pratt herself, the book features experiences from those well-known and unknown, including Elizabeth Smart, who learned to forgive her captors; Sue Klebold, whose son, Dylan, was one of the Columbine shooters, learning empathy and how to forgive herself; Chris Williams, who forgave the drunken teenager who killed his wife and child; and of course Schwarzenegger Pratt's own challenges and path to forgiveness in her own life. All Schwarzenegger Pratt’s books are centered around providing advice and hope to people of all ages—a message she brings to the stage.

In 2024, Schwarzenegger Pratt launched BDA (Before, During, & After) Baby, an interview-based series. Each week, she has meaningful conversations with experts, notable specialists, and friends, covering topics that resonate with the BDA Baby community surrounding pregnancy, sex, partner relationships, birth experiences, fertility challenges, health and wellness, and so much more.
