Yingst, Chief Foreign Affairs Correspondent for Fox News Channel (FNC), is currently leading FNC’s live coverage of the Israel-Hamas war from southern Israel. Yingst has also reported from across Ukraine, during the Russian invasion, delivering round-the-clock, front line coverage. He joined the network in August 2018. In addition to his on-ground reporting, Trey has conducted high-profile interviews, including interviewing President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Ukraine and Jared Kushner in Bahrain. He broke the story of the Bonita Queen, an oil tanker that led to U.S. sanctions and reported from a classified Iranian base in Eastern Syria, capable of storing guided missiles, which was later targeted.
In the summer of 2021, Yingst covered the U.S. troop withdrawal from Doha, Qatar, and Kabul, Afghanistan, providing an exclusive look inside a Taliban prison and interviewing Anas Haqqani, the leader of the Haqqani Terror Network. Earlier that year, he reported on the Israel-Hamas conflict from inside the Gaza Strip. Yingst has broken numerous international stories from the Middle East, including the existence of a secret Iranian base and the smuggling of Iranian oil to Syria. During the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, he secured exclusive behind-the-scenes access to the Coronavirus Critical Care Unit at the Sheba Medical Center in Tel Aviv, Israel. As one of the best sourced correspondents in the Middle East, Yingst has gained sensitive access to top officials from Hamas and Islamic Jihad, while maintaining his contacts in the Israeli military and government.
Bloomberg said of Yingst, “he’s earned accolades for reporting everywhere from the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip to the front lines of Kyiv.”
Dr. Richard Vatz, a journalism professor at Towson, called Yingst, “The Current Generation’s Top War Correspondent.”
And Media critic Colby Hall wrote an article about Yingst titled, “Trey Yingst Joins The Ranks of Renowned War Reporters With Crucial Coverage of the Israel-Hamas War.”
In 2019, he was named among Forbes’ 30 Under 30 in media and recognized as one of AdWeek’s Young Influentials.
