About
Tunde Oyeneyin is a New York Times bestselling author, Peloton Instructor, Global Nike Athlete, Motivational Speaker, Actress, Model, Host, and Correspondent who has become a powerful force across fitness, media, and entertainment. Through her unmistakable presence and compelling storytelling, she has built a devoted global audience united by her mission to inspire self-belief, resilience, and meaningful change.
A Texas native of Nigerian descent, Tunde’s journey to wellness was deeply personal. After years of struggling with body image and self-esteem, she found fitness to be a transformative path toward self-love and purpose. In 2015, she took her first indoor cycling class—an experience that would change the trajectory of her life. Trusting her intuition, she walked away from a successful 15-year career as a professional makeup artist and brand educator for some of the most coveted beauty brands in the world to pursue cycling full-time, setting the foundation for her work today.
In 2019, Tunde joined Peloton Studios in New York City, where she quickly rose to prominence as one of the platform’s most influential instructors. Known for her motivating “Tunde-isms” and deeply empowering rides, she challenges riders to push their limits both physically and mentally. From advocating for “soul care” to addressing human rights and racial injustice, Tunde’s classes became some of Peloton’s most sought-after experiences. In the wake of George Floyd’s murder, she led the historic “Speak Up Ride” on June 3, 2020, drawing more than 20,000 riders live—the equivalent of filling Madison Square Garden. With access to Peloton’s nearly seven million members, her loyal community, self-named Team Tunde, clips in daily, inspired to pursue their wildest dreams on and off the bike. She has expanded her presence beyond the bike with the launch of her first-ever apparel collection, Tunde x Peloton.
Beyond fitness, Tunde has emerged as a dynamic presence in television and entertainment. She also appeared as a series regular on Tyler Perry Studios’ hit BET series Sistas, marking an exciting new chapter in her on-screen career. She made her acting debut in Season Two of Hulu’s Life & Beth, created by and starring Amy Schumer, and lent her voice to the animated feature Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Last Straw. Tunde also partners with Access Hollywood as a New York–based guest correspondent and works with Sony Pictures as a red carpet correspondent, interviewing top talent including Julia Roberts, Serena Williams, Usher, Gwyneth Paltrow, Demi Moore, Ethan Hawke, and Mahershala Ali.
Tunde released her debut memoir-manifesto, Speak: Find Your Voice, Trust Your Gut, and Get From Where You Are to Where You Want To Be (Avid Reader Press/Simon & Schuster). The book instantly became a New York Times bestseller in the Advice/How-To category and was named one of Amazon’s Best Books of 2022 in both Nonfiction and Business & Leadership, as well as Audible’s Best Books of 2022 in the Well-Being category. That year, Tunde embarked on her sold-out nationwide tour, “Speak: A Soul-Care Event,” joined by special guests including Mel Robbins, Emmanuel Acho, Scott Evans, Cody Rigsby, and Robin Arzón. She was also honored as Creative Person of the Year by the Society for Africans in Diaspora (SAID Institute), recognizing her work as a catalyst for empowerment and change.
Tunde made history as the first fitness instructor ever named a Nike Athlete. As a prominent global partner, she has served as the face of Nike’s Summer 2022 Yoga, Run, and Cycling campaign; the lead athlete and voice of the 2024 global “Find Your Feel” commercial; and a featured athlete in the 2025 Nike Running Vomero campaign. Through her work with Nike, Tunde champions accessibility, inclusion, and confidence for young girls and women around the world.
Today, Tunde is one of the most sought-after motivational speakers in the country, known for her ability to command a room with unparalleled energy while leaving audiences both challenged and inspired. She has spoken globally for organizations including Google, Microsoft, JPMorgan Chase, Deloitte, T-Mobile, Meta, Nike, and L’Oréal. She serves as a Capital One Café Ambassador, delivering her signature message, Your Purpose Is Your Power, and connecting with audiences across the country.

She also appeared on the cover of Glamour South Africa, further cementing her global impact. In 2025, Tunde was crowned the Sports Illustrated Swim Search winner, securing her spot as a rookie in the 2026 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, and has also appeared in two Sports Illustrated Swimsuit runway shows at Miami Swim Week.
As part of her mission to amplify authentic storytelling and community, Tunde is the founder of S.P.E.A.K., an Instagram Live series highlighting stories of resilience and transformation. S.P.E.A.K.
