More About Zibby Owens
Zibby Owens has loved books her entire life. While most kids were writing fan mail to their favorite actors and musicians, Zibby was writing to her favorite authors. Now with a publishing company, bookstore, TV show, and more than 2,300 author interviews on her Totally Booked podcast, she is bringing her passion for books to the masses with every arm of the Zibby Media empire. With a focus on cultivating a community of book lovers, she also hosts book clubs, retreats, and other bookish events under the Zibby Media umbrella. Leaving no book-related stone unturned, Zibby has also authored and edited seven books including Blank, Bookends, On Being Jewish Now, and the forthcoming Between Books: How I Started Over, Took Some Chances, and Found the Plot.
Like many Jewish people, Zibby was galvanized to act in support of the Jewish community and fight rising antisemitism following the October 7th attacks in Israel. Leaning on her book expertise, she brought together 75 prominent Jewish voices to compile the bestselling personal essay anthology On Being Jewish Now, which has since inspired a companion essay platform, event series, and a stage adaptation. Proceeds from the book are donated to Artists Against Antisemitism, of which Zibby is a founding member.
Beyond her own platforms, Zibby has appeared on and contributed to Good Morning America, CBS Saturday Morning, Vogue, Oprah Daily, Washington Post, and many other outlets. A graduate of Yale University and Harvard Business School, Zibby is a mother of four and lives in New York and L.A. with her husband.
