Dr. Mayim Bialik is best known for her lead role as Blossom Russo in the 1990s NBC sitcom Blossom, as well as Amy Farrah Fowler on the CBS comedy, The Big Bang Theory, for which she garnered 2 Critics’ Choice Award wins, a SAG nomination, and 4 Emmy nominations. She hosted Jeopardy! and Celebrity Jeopardy! for two seasons, during which time the show won the Critics’ Choice Award for ‘Best Game Show’ and Bialik earned her fifth Emmy award nomination.
Along with her partner, Jonathan Cohen, Bialik hosts an award-winning podcast focusing on mental health and science and spirituality, Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown; the podcast has 100 million downloads. Bialik recently appeared alongside Cate Blanchett, Adam Driver, Charlotte Rampling and Tom Waits in Jim Jarmusch’s Father Mother Sister Brother, released in 2025. Bialik’s screenwriting and directorial debut, As They Made Us, came out in 2022 starring Dustin Hoffman, Candice Bergen, Simon Helberg and Dianna Agron.
Bialik has written two #1 New York Times best sellers, Girling Up: How to Be Strong, Smart and Spectacular, and Boying Up: How to Be Brave, Bold and Brilliant. She has also written a parenting book, Beyond the Sling, and a cookbook, Mayim’s Vegan Table.
Bialik holds a BS in Neuroscience from UCLA with a minor in Hebrew & Jewish Studies and a PhD in Neuroscience, specializing in Psychoneuroendocrinology. She and her sons split time between Los Angeles and Ojai.
