Ashley Padilla attended college for a week before realizing it wasn’t for her. She worked at Sephora and did hair and makeup gigs for weddings before her mother encouraged the lifelong riot of the family to give comedy a shot. Like many SNL greats before her, she took classes at Upright Citizens Brigade and found her way to The Groundlings sketch comedy troupe. Her live sketch show Party of Three (with two other Groundlings Alex Bonifer and Chris Kleckner) was wildly popular and got invited to perform at the Netflix is a Joke Festival. Prior to SNL, Ashley appeared in episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm and Night Court. She also worked as Diane Keaton’s assistant and helped her write the book Fashion First.
