Jackie Aina
Beauty and Lifestyle Influencer | Founder & CEO, FORVR Mood
About
Jackie Aina is a Nigerian-American beauty expert, content creator, and founder of the lifestyle brand FORVR Mood. One of the original beauty influencers, she launched her YouTube channel in 2009 and has since become the “most influential voice in beauty today.” (Harper’s Bazaar) But Jackie's influence extends beyond beauty—she’s a cultural commentator, businesswoman, and changemaker who continues to challenge industry norms while using her platform to uplift creators and entrepreneurs of color.
On stage, Jackie delivers lessons on building an empire without compromising on values. With warm candor, she shares her journey of carving out space in an industry not built for her; being an early adopter of social media and turning views into multimillion-dollar business opportunities; and making a tangible impact through vocal advocacy and strategic partnerships. She also reveals the keys to longevity in the rapidly evolving digital landscape and the importance of self-care and managing burnout when building something that lasts. Perfect for colleges, entrepreneurs, content creators, and women’s leadership events, Jackie’s story serves as a blueprint for building brands and businesses that resonate.
More About Jackie Aina
Jackie Aina has built a platform rooted in access, authenticity, and empowerment. With nearly 9 million followers on her namesake pages across platforms and almost 3 million on her brand and lifestyle accounts, she creates content that is both educational and aspirational. Her loyal fanbase has followed her evolution from Army veteran-turned makeup artist filling the void of makeup tutorials for darker skin tones, to value-aligned partnerships with top beauty brands, to her current life of luxury enjoying the fruits of her labor following nearly two decades of determination and steady growth.
In 2020, Jackie launched FORVR Mood, a “luxury brand at a masstige price point,” operating with the tagline: Self-care isn’t selfish. Debuting with high-end candles and accessories, the self-funded venture had a pre-launch wait list of over 45,000 eager shoppers, sold $700,000 in products in its first four hours, and made $6 million in revenue in its first year. In alignment with this new era, Jackie expanded her lifestyle offerings with the launch of "Lavishly Jackie,'' a self-care, home décor, and luxury content vertical across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. In 2024, after years of testing and perfecting, she released perfumes—which sold out within hours of release—and officially cemented FORVR Mood as a full-range fine fragrance destination.
Jackie’s vocal advocacy for inclusion in the beauty space has led to iconic brand collaborations such as an expanded shade range for Too Faced’s bestselling Born This Way foundation, for which she curated nine additional shades for darker skin tones. Pivoting to the entertainment industry, she starred in and executive produced The Black Beauty Effect, a docuseries highlighting Black women creating social change through beauty. For her advocacy efforts, she was deemed the NAACP’s first-ever “YouTuber of the Year” at the 49th NAACP Image Awards. She has also been honored with AdWeek’s Creator Visionary Award, as Glamour’s Woman of the Year, Refinery29’s Beauty Innovator of the Year, WWD Beauty Inc Awards’ Influencer of the Year, and has been nominated for three E! People’s Choice Awards. Jackie made her Met Gala debut in 2021 and has been featured on the covers of Essence and The Knot, and profiles in Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, Allure, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and more.
Throughout her career, there have been many instances where Jackie can be said to have "made it;" but every day, she proves she's just getting started. An inspiration to all who hear it, her story is a testament to the power of staying true to your values, leading with authenticity, and persisting in the face of adversity.
