Still in her early 20s, Marsai Martin has already established herself as a rising star well beyond her years. Astonishingly accomplished with award-winning acting credits, a production company, and financial literacy programs, Martin is a mogul in the making, and she’s only just getting started.

Martin landed her first national commercial at the age of five and shortly after was cast as Diane Johnson on ABC’s Emmy-nominated hit comedy black-ish. Alongside an all-star cast, the young starlet stole the hearts of viewers who tuned in every week to see her hilarious and witty antics. Her work on the show earned her 9 NAACP Image Awards, a Young Artist Award, and 2 Screen Actors Guild nominations.

At the age of 10, Martin conceptualized and pitched a movie idea to Universal which later evolved into the feature film, Little. As the star and Executive Producer of Little, Martin earned 2 NAACP Image Awards and cemented herself in Hollywood history as the youngest person to EP a major studio film.

At age 15, Martin was named to both the TIME100 Next and Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list. She also won the BET YoungStars Award five years in a row. In 2024, she was named to Refinery29’s inaugural 29 Powerhouses list.

With opportunities presenting themselves daily, Martin aims to uplift young and diverse voices through her production company, Genius Entertainment, which signed an overall deal with Universal. Genius Entertainment has expanded across all platforms including television, digital, and live activations. Projects under the banner have included Remix My Space, Fantasy Football, and Saturdays.

A passionate advocate for financial literacy at any age, Martin partnered with Verizon to produce a six-part digital series called Money with Marsai Martin to introduce Gen Z to the fundamentals of financial wellness. She also speaks out about women’s health and became a Foundation for Women’s Cancer Move4Her Ambassador in 2024.

Martin has graced the covers of Teen Vogue, Essence, and EBONY, and has been profiled by ELLE, The Hollywood Reporter, The Wrap, The Huffington Post, Variety, Deadline, Fast Company, and Popsugar, among others.

Her latest on-screen endeavors include Amazon's G20, starring opposite Viola Davis, Anthony Anderson, and Ramon Rodriguez.
