More About Randall Park
Randall Park is committed to telling authentic Asian American stories on screen and expanding opportunities for representation in Hollywood. When he joined the cast of Fresh Off the Boat, there hadn’t been a network sitcom starring an Asian American family in over two decades. The show was an instant hit and ran for six seasons, proving there is a market for Asian American media and paving the way for the current boom in Asian-led entertainment we’re experiencing today.
Together with his college friends from UCLA, Park co-founded Imminent Collision, a production company specializing in comedy-forward stories from Asian American perspectives. The company inked a first-look deal with Universal Television and has several projects in the works with ABC, Hulu, HBO Max, and Amazon. The first project released under the Imminent Collision banner was Shortcomings, an adaptation of the graphic novel by Adrian Tomine and Park’s feature directorial debut.
Beyond Hollywood, Park is a vocal advocate for neurodivergent inclusivity. Motivated to help people like their daughter Ruby, who is on the autism spectrum, he and his wife Jae Suh sit on the board of KultureCity, the world’s leading non-profit for sensory accessibility and acceptance for those with invisible disabilities.
No matter the hat he’s wearing—actor, writer, director, producer, rapper, event speaker, father, husband—Randall Park uses his artistry to make the world a more welcoming and accepting place for everyone.
