More About Rita Ora
Rita Ora was born in war-torn Kosovo and fled to London with her family as a baby. Growing up as a refugee, she watched her parents rebuild their lives from scratch and absorbed the values of hard work and determination that have sustained her career for over a decade.

From working in a sneaker shop and a self-made internship at a recording studio to getting signed to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation at 18 and owning her masters, Rita Ora’s music career is a masterclass in self-advocacy and longevity. Across the distinct creative eras of her three albums, ORA, Phoenix, and You & I, Ora has maintained consistent commercial success, with multiple platinum-certified singles in the UK and Top 10 hits internationally.

In her pursuit of creative expression, Ora has expanded her talents into film, television, and theatre. She starred in the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy, Pokémon: Detective Pikachu, Descendants: The Rise of Red, Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, Tin Soldier, and has served as panelist and coach on The Masked Singer (US and UK) and The Voice (UK and Australia). Ora can also be seen in He Bled Neon; Honeymoon with Harry opposite Kevin Costner, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Sarah Pidgeon; and Voltron alongside Henry Cavill and Sterling K. Brown. In the theatre space, she is producing Fyre Fest The Musical with husband Taika Waititi.

Beyond music and acting, Ora has poured her passions into entrepreneurship and the humanitarian causes closest to her heart. She is the co-founder TYPEBEA, a haircare line born from her personal struggles with hair loss and damage. She is also the Chief Creative Partner of the award-winning Próspero Tequilla, working alongside Stella Anguiano, one of Mexico’s most distinguished female Master Distillers, and building on her mission to support women-led initiatives. Never forgetting her own persecution and displacement as a child, Ora began working with refugee children through UNICEF in 2013 and has worked in a more official capacity as a UNICEF UK Ambassador since 2019. She is also a vocal advocate for breast cancer awareness and women’s health, following her mother’s battle with the disease.

With ever-increasing versatility across disciplines and remarkable staying power in whatever lane she chooses, Rita Ora embodies what it means to be truly limitless.
