Susan Kelechi Watson is a celebrated actress best known for her portrayal of 'Beth Pearson' on the smash hit series This is Us. Her acclaimed performance in the show garnered her back-to-back SAG Outstanding Ensemble Awards as well as yearly NAACP nominations and several Critics Choice noms. More recently, she can be seen in the Netflix/Shondaland series The Residence alongside Uzo Aduba, Giancarlo Esposito, and Randall Park.

In the fall of 2024, she returned to the stage, starring in The Blood Quilt at the Lincoln Center and in Pulitzer winner James Ijames' play Good Bones at the Public Theater. Previously, she starred in Eureka Day opposite Helen Hunt at The Old Vic in London.

In film, Susan starred in Marielle Heller’s Mr. Rogers biopic A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood opposite Tom Hanks and Matthew Rhys. She also executive produced and starred in the groundbreaking HBO adaptation of Ta-Nehisi Coates' Between the World and Me. Other credits include a major role on FX’s critically acclaimed comedy series Louie, and The Public Theater’s Shakespeare in The Park production of Merry Wives, adapted by playwright Jocelyn Bioh and directed by Saheem Ali. 

Susan Kelechi Watson is a graduate of Howard University and earned an MFA from the Tisch School of the Arts.
