About

Tia Mowry has been a pop culture idol since the age of 12 – and that icon status is not changing any time soon. A multi-talented actress, producer, author, and business owner, Mowry’s drive to innovate, inspire, and entertain is visible in her diverse endeavors across different industries.

Mowry first gained recognition for her starring role in sitcom Sister, Sister (1994-1999) opposite her twin sister Tamera Mowry. She received two NAACP Image Awards and three Kids' Choice Awards for her work. This promising debut propelled both sisters into outstanding projects that have since become beloved cultural staples, including Disney Channel Original Movie Twitches (2005) and Twitches Too (2007).

Her unbeatable charisma and penchant for comedy landed Mowry the role of Melanie Barnett on much-loved sitcom The Game (2006-2015), leading to two additional NAACP Image Award nominations. In 2012, The Game was cable’s #1 scripted telecast amongst fans ages 18-49.

The Mowry twins came together to grace screens again in 2011, with their STYLE network reality series Tia and Tamera. The series followed the everyday lives of the sisters, ranging from cooking disasters to Tia’s pregnancy, and brought audiences into the family, attracting viewers for whom Mowry has been a household name for many years.

Expanding her footprint in unscripted television, Mowry starred in and executive produced her hit We TV docuseries Tia Mowry: My Next Act, which chronicles her inspiring journey of personal evolution, self-discovery, and motherhood. Audiences have also celebrated her starring roles in the Netflix comedy series Family Reunion and a string of successful feature films, including Lifetime's Yes, Chef! Christmas and A Very Merry Beauty Salon.

Mowry’s authentic charm and warmth is felt in her 2012 debut novel Oh Baby! Pregnancy Tales and Advice from One Hot Mama to Another, which quickly became a national bestseller. In March 2017, she released her first cookbook – the Amazon #1 seller Whole New You published by Random House. She followed this success with her acclaimed second cookbook, The Quick Fix Kitchen: Easy Recipes and Time-Saving Tips for a Healthier, Stress-Free Life.

Her sense of innovation is also evident in her brand of supplements, Anser, a deeply personal endeavor. After being diagnosed with endometriosis in 2006, Mowry decided to take charge of her health and completely altered her diet and lifestyle, leading to incredible results for her overall well-being. This empowering experience inspired Mowry to co-found Anser, through which Mowry is inspiring other women to make a change and take ownership of their health journeys.

Mowry’s YouTube channel Tia Mowry’s Quick Fix in partnership with KIN Community is KIN’s fastest growing channel to date, reaching over 3 million followers on all platforms since its launch in 2017. Mowry’s much-loved series, which focuses on quick fixes for life’s little dilemmas, expanded to cable TV beginning in 2021 after Cleo TV struck a multi-year licensing deal with Kin to bring the digital series to Cleo TV.

Alongside so many incredible projects under her belt, Mowry dedicates her time to several charitable causes, including the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Partnership for a Healthier America, the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, and the Elizabeth Glazer Pediatric AIDS Foundation.
