A born performer who got an early start in community theatre in his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska, Andrew Rannells has found success in every medium. As a stage actor, he made his Broadway debut in Hairspray and earned his first Tony and Drama Desk Award nominations for originating the role of Elder Price in The Book of Mormon. As a soloist on the show’s original cast recording, Rannells also received a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album. Most recently, he reunited with his Mormon co-star Josh Gad for Gutenberg! The Musical!, which received a Tony nomination for Best Revival of a Musical. Other stage credits include Jersey Boys, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Hamilton, The Boys in the Band, and Falsettos, for which he received his second Tony nomination.

For his television work, Rannells received Critics Choice Award nominations for both his role in HBO’s Girls and in Showtime’s Black Monday. Other television credits include Netflix’s Too Much, Hulu’s Welcome to Chippendales, Girls5Eva, The New Normal, and co-hosting Great American Baking Show, as well as an extensive slate of voice work dating back to his childhood.
