He represented Flint, Michigan residents affected by poisoned water, achieving a $626 million settlement. He consistently fights to raise the value of black life with recent victories including a $310 million verdict for Tyre Sampson's family, $411 million trucking accident verdict for Duane Washington, $98 million police brutality verdict for Botham Jean's family, and a $779 million wrongful death verdict for Lewis Butler's family in 2025. His advocacy led to a historic ruling for Tamara Lanier against Harvard over photographs of her enslaved ancestors valued approximately $100 million.
