Danai appeared as “Okoye” in Ryan Coogler’s, Black Panther, opposite Michael B. Jordan, Chadwick Boseman and Lupita Nyong’o as well as Avengers Infinity Game & Infinity War where she reprised her role alongside a star-studded cast. Danai can also be seen Benny Boom’s All Eyez On Me, for Lionsgate, Mother of George for director Andrew Dosunmu, which was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival, and the critically acclaimed, The Visitor, for director Tom McCarthy and opposite Richard Jenkins. In TV, Danai is most known for her role as “Michonne” in, The Walking Dead.

In theater, Danai is also an award-winning playwright (Eclipsed, Familiar, The Convert, In The Continuum) and is currently developing several projects for television.
