Fatima Robinson is a powerhouse choreographer who got her big break at just 21 years old, choreographing Michael Jackson’s “Remember the Time” music video. Since then, she has worked with Beyoncé, Pharrell Williams, The Weeknd, the Black Eyed Peas, Gwen Stefani, Meghan Trainor, Prince, Rihanna, Snoop Dogg, and more, emerging as one of the most sought-after choreographers and producers in the world.

Robinson has choreographed and produced numerous award shows including two Grammy and five Oscar Awards ceremonies, the latter of which encompasses her Emmy-nominated production of Beyoncé’s “Be Alive” performance at the 2022 Oscars. She also executive produced “Taking the Stage: Changing America,” the concert honoring the opening of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture and taught a master class at the White House to celebrate African-American Women and Dance.

Other television moments showcasing Robinson’s artistry include the Tupac hologram at Coachella, NBC’s The Wiz Live!, and episodes of The Voice, Dancing with the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance, and American Idol. Named one of Entertainment Weekly’s “100 Most Creative People in Entertainment,” Robinson was nominated for a Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Choreographer – Off-Broadway, for her theatrical debut, Radiant Baby, and won the 2024 Best Choreography Award for a Feature Film at the World Choreography Awards for her work on The Color Purple musical movie. In 2026, Robinson received the Dance Theatre of Harlem’s Arthur Mitchell Visionary Award, recognizing her legacy in the arts and her work to expand access to creative expression.
